Candlelight Vigil in Solidarity with Victims of Peshawar Tragedy

Dozens of peo­ple belong­ing to var­i­ous walks of life gath­ered at Lib­er­ty Round­about in Lahore to express their sol­i­dar­i­ty with the vic­tims of 16/12 Peshawar tragedy. The event was planned and adver­tised only through social media cou­ple of hours before it took place. Start­ing with a few indi­vid­u­als, the gath­er­ing kept on increas­ing as peo­ple poured in groups. The grief-strick­en par­tic­i­pants raised slo­gans against Tal­iban, their apol­o­gists, and the fail­ure of the state in pro­tect­ing its cit­i­zens.
