On 2nd January 2013 a documentary competition was organized at Islamia University of Bahawalpur by members of Executive Club DMS and the Khudi volunteers. The documentaries that were shown in the competition addressed key religious, social and economic issues that characterize the Pakistani way of life in the 21st century. The topics ranged from child abuse to poverty and democracy to security issues.

Each team in the competition had to present a maximum of 5 minute long documentary. The members of civil society, Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and alumni of Islamia University attended the event. ‘Slums’ was awarded the best documentary award, whereas ‘Malala’s Message’ and ‘Child Labor’ stood as the runner ups. A special 30 minute documentary titled ‘Love Marriage against Parent’s Will’ was also screened exclusively at the event introducing in-depth views from various perspectives.

During the whole event, the Khudi team at Bahawalpur distributed Laaltain’s promotional copies, Khudi literature and Peace Pledges to those who attended the event.
